Veneers
Veneers – aesthetic transformation with minimal intervention
Veneers are thin porcelain shells fixed to the front of the tooth to change its shape, color, and proportions. They are used to create a harmonious and aesthetic smile, often called a Hollywood smile, but tailored to your facial shape and personality.
Veneers can correct:
Discolorations that won't go away with teeth whitening
Worn-down or short teeth
Small gaps or misalignments
Uneven shapes or fractures
Aesthetic symmetry for a balanced smile
In some cases, veneers can be made completely without grinding, known as no-prep veneers. When grinding is necessary, it is done minimally and gently to preserve as much natural tooth substance as possible.
How does the treatment proceed?
1. Consultation and smile analysis
We start by listening to your wishes and analyzing:
Facial shape
Tooth shape
Smile line and symmetry
The teeth are scanned digitally (no impression materials) and sent to the dental technician.
2. Digital design – you see the result before we start
You get to see a digital simulation of your new smile. This allows you to approve the shape, color, and aesthetics before we make any changes to the teeth.
3. Temporary veneers (test period)
We test the veneers in the mouth using a temporary material – like a “test drive”.
You can:
See how it looks
Feel how it feels
Change details before the final
Nothing is permanent until you're completely satisfied.
4. Permanent cementation
Once everything is approved, the veneers are attached. After that, we go through cleaning and maintenance.
How long do veneers last?
Veneers have a very long lifespan, on average 10–15 years.
The durability is affected by:
Oral hygiene
Chewing habits (nail biting, ice, hard objects)
Teeth grinding (night guard recommended if necessary)
Material and technique
We use modern porcelain materials (e.g., E-max/lithium disilicate) that are:
Strong
Colorfast
Resistant to stains
Veneers durability – what is most important for long lifespan?
To make the veneers last as long as possible:
✅ Brush and use interdental cleaning daily
✅ Avoid using teeth as “tools” (opening packages, etc.)
✅ Use a night guard if you grind
✅ Attend regular check-ups
Veneers are strong, but they should be used like teeth – not like tools.
Good to know: The porcelain in veneers is more color-resistant than natural teeth. They do not yellow over time from coffee, tea, or red wine.
Are veneers right for you?
Veneers are suitable for those who:
Want to improve aesthetics without extensive orthodontics
Want faster results than Invisalign
Want a durable and natural smile
If you instead want to straighten teeth before getting veneers, Invisalign can be combined with a final aesthetic veneer treatment.
