Root canal treatment

Painless and Modern Treatment at Luxadent

A root canal treatment may be necessary when the tooth's nerve has become inflamed or infected, often due to a deep cavity, a crack in the tooth, an accident, or a large previous filling near the nerve.
At Luxadent, we perform root canal treatments using modern digital technology that makes the process quick, efficient, and completely painless.

In many cases, we can both relieve the pain and complete the entire treatment in just one visit.

Why is a Root Canal Treatment Needed?

The purpose of root canal treatment is to remove the infection and save the tooth so it can remain in the mouth.
If bacteria reach the tooth's nerve (pulp), it can result in a tooth infection that may lead to pus formation and toothache.
In some cases, you won't notice anything – the infection can be detected during a routine examination with X-rays.

Does Root Canal Treatment Hurt?

No. With today's anaesthesia and modern technology, root canal treatment is completely painless.
At Luxadent, we use digital instruments and effective anaesthesia to ensure you do not experience any discomfort during treatment.

For patients with a fear of dental care, we also offer the option of receiving calming medication, or performing the treatment under laughing gas or anesthesia for a completely relaxed experience.

The Root Canal Treatment Process

  1. Diagnosis:
The dentist examines the tooth and takes X-rays to determine if the nerve is infected.

  2. Anaesthesia:
The area is carefully numbed so you feel no pain.

  3. Cleaning:
The dentist opens the tooth, removes the damaged nerve, and cleans the root canals thoroughly.
A rubber dam (plastic sheet) is used to keep the tooth dry and free from bacteria.

  4. Root Filling:
The canals are filled with a dense material that prevents bacteria from re-entering.
In some cases, a medicinal filler is needed in the canal for a week before completing the root filling.

  5. Reconstruction:
The tooth is restored with a filling or crown to regain strength and function.

Root Canal Treatment Cost

The cost of root canal treatment varies depending on how many roots the tooth has.
Front teeth typically have one root, while molars can have two to three or more root canals.

Luxadent is connected to the Insurance Agency's high-cost protection, which means you only pay your share; the rest is reported automatically by us. You do not need to apply yourself, we take care of everything.
