Emergency dental care
What is meant by emergency dental care?
Emergency dental care means that a dentist helps you if you have a problem that cannot wait for a regular appointment. The main goal is to relieve pain and stop an ongoing issue.
We conduct an examination, find the cause, and address the problem directly to the extent possible.
You can seek emergency care if you have:
• severe toothache
• swelling in the face or gums
• a tooth that has cracked or broken
• a filling, crown, or bridge that has come loose
• severe sensitivity or pressure that prevents you from eating or sleeping
Unsure if your problem is urgent? Call us and we'll help you determine that right away.
Emergency dental care on weekends (without extra weekend fees)
Many clinics add extra charges for emergency visits on weekends. Some may increase the price by 50 percent or charge a special emergency fee.
Luxadent does not do that.
The price is the same whether you come on a weekday or during the weekend.
This means you always know what your visit will cost and can seek help when needed, without worrying about surprises afterwards.
What happens during an emergency visit
You book an appointment by phone or online. We always try to arrange a time as quickly as possible, often the same day.
The dentist conducts an emergency examination focusing on the area where you have a problem. If necessary, we take an x-ray right away to find the cause.
Our first goal is always to relieve your pain. We use modern anesthesia and explain what is happening so you can feel safe throughout the visit. Many who come to us are anxious about dental care and appreciate the calm approach.
If the problem requires extensive treatment, we discuss your options and plan the next steps together.
What does emergency dental care cost?
The price varies depending on what needs to be done. You will always know the cost before we start any treatment.
At Luxadent, we offer:
• clear pricing
• no extra fees on weekends
• always a cost estimate before treatment starts
Dental allowances and high-cost protection even for emergency visits
Luxadent is connected to the Social Insurance Agency.
This means you can use your dental allowance during emergency visits, and high-cost protection applies if the treatment becomes extensive.
When should you seek help immediately?
